Video: FC Barcelona 5 –Almeria 0 (Copa del Rey Highlights)

FC Barcelona clinically destroyed fellow Spanish La Liga side Almeria 5-0 in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final at the Nou Camp on Wednesday.

FIFA World Player of the Year Lionel Messi opened the scoring in the 9th minute and added a second in the 16th.  David Villa and Pedro Rodriguez notched goals to put Barca up 4-0 after 31 minutes. Substitute Seydou Keita scored in the 89th to complete the rout.

FC Barcelona: Pinto; Adriano, Piqué, Abidal, Maxwell (Milito, min.81), Mascherano, Xavi (Keita, min.74), Iniesta, Pedro, Messi, Villa (Afellay, min.66).

Goals: 1-0: Messi, min.9. 2-0: Villa, min.11. 3-0: Messi, min.16. 4-0: Pedro, min.30. 5-0: Keita, min.88.
