After a number of years of donning adidas gear, the Canada soccer team has switched to Umbro starting with the 2011/12 season. According to the SCA website:
The Canadian Soccer Association has announced a new partnership with kit supplier Umbro. The partnership will help launch a new national uniform that will be worn for the first time in a Men’s International Friendly match this 9 February 2011. The jersey will go on sale to the public this 1 June 2011.
With a slew of European and MLS-based professionals in its ranks, the Canadian men’s soccer team has always been a force to contend with in the CONCACAF region. Its greatest successes came when Team Canada qualified for the 1986 FIFA World Cup and won the 2000 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
