Stade de Reims is a French soccer team from Reims currently playing in Ligue 2, the second tier of French football, following its second place finish in the 2009/10 Championnat National. Its most successful period came in the 1950’s and early 60’s when the club reached the final of the European Cup twice in that era, losing on both occasions to Real Madrid. France greats Raymond Kopa and Just Fontaine represented Stade Reims during this time.
Stade Reims launched its Kappa 80th anniversary kit last weekend. The jersey based on that worn by the club’s founding 1931 team was used for the first time during the December 3rd 0-0 tie with Sedan.
