With a trip to the South American country coming up soon, pop singer Miley Cyrus (a.k.a. Miley Ray Cyrus and Hannah Montana) wants to garner some attention in soccer-loving Brazil. She’s decided to support a local soccer team.
Miley has been quoted in the Brazilian media as stating, “I’m going to Brazil and I know you love football. I want to root for a Brazilian team, will you help me?”
The teams “available” for the singer to become a “fan” of are Atlético-MG, Atlético-PR, Botafogo, Corinthians, Cruzeiro, Flamengo, Fluminense, Goiás, Grêmio, Internacional, Palmeiras, Santos, São Paulo, Sport, Vasco and Vitória.
In addition to posing with the shirts of the teams in the running for her support, the star learned phrases associated with the teams such as “Vamos São Paulo, vamos ser campeão” (Let’s go Sao Paulo, we’re going to be champions) and “Corinthians, minha vida, meu amor” (Corinthians, my life, my love).
