Copa America 2011 Draw / Sorteo Copa América 2011

The draw (or sorteo in Spanish) for the 2011 Copa América was held in La Plata, Argentina on Thurday afternoon.

The 43rd edition of the biennial tournament will feature all 10 Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol (CONMEBOL) members along with invitees Japan and Mexico. Mexico will send its 2012 Under-23 Olympic Team supplemented with five over-age players while Japan is expected to send a squad of senior internationals.

The 2011 Copa América takes place from July 1st to July 24th, 2011 in Argentina. Brazil has won four of the last five editions of the competition while Argentina and Uruguay are tied for the most titles with 14 each.
