Video: San Jose Earthquakes 3 –New York Red Bulls 1 (MLS Playoff Highlights)

Bobby Convey’s two goals led the San Jose Earthquakes to a shock 3-1 away win (3-2 on aggregate) over the New York Red Bulls in the Major League Soccer Eastern Conference Semi-Finals last night. The result sees the Quakes advance to the Eastern Finals against the winner of the Columbus Crew – Colorado Rapids home and away semi-final series.

Convey’s goals in the 6th and 77th minutes to put San Jose up 2-1 on aggregate. Juan Pablo Angel tied the series 2-2 in the 78th before MLS regular season scoring leader Chris Wondolowski notched the aggregate winner in the 81st minute

Marquee Red Bulls player Thierry Henry returned from an injury layoff as an 84th minute substitute but was largely ineffective.
