1. FC Kaiserlautern Do You Football Fritz Walter 90th Birthday Kit / Trikot

German Bundesliga club 1. FC Kaiserlautern has launched a special edition Do You Football Fritz Walter 90th Birthday reversible kit.

The new FCK shirt commemorates the 90th birthday of the club’s greatest player, Fritz Walter (31 October 1920 — 17 June 2002). The maroon side of the kit was worn during last Saturday’s 3-0 over Borussia Moenchengladbach.

Walter was the captain of the unfancied West German team that defeated a heavily favored Hungary 3-2 in the ‘Miracle of Bern’ 1954 World Cup final. The forward scored 380 goals in 411 appearances for FC Kaiserslautern and led them to the 1951 and 1953 German Bundesliga titles.

The 1. FC Kaiserslautern Do You Football 2010/11 home, away and third kits were launched in June.
