With the 2010/11 English Premier League season well underway, some soccer fans have been wondering about the tight-fitting kits that some of the Liverpool players have been seen wearing with what appears to be X-shaped webs on their backs. The kit in question is the Liverpool 2010/12 adidas TECHFIT jersey.
The TECHFIT Reds’ kit is nearly identical to the adidas ClimaCool version of the Liverpool 10/12 home jersey but has the following characteristics:
- Strategically placed TPU bands focus muscle energy to generate explosive acceleration and deliver maximum power output.
- adidas TECHFIT is proven to increase a player’s power by 5.3 percent vertical leap by 4 percent, sprint speed by 1.1 percent and enhance endurance by 0.8 percent.
- TEHCFIT improves body posture and core stability allowing agile, accurate movements.
- TECHFIT kits worn as a single layer are 45 percent lighter than wearing two pieces.
Several players on the World Cup-winning Spanish national team donned a TECHFIT version of the Spain 2010/11 adidas home jersey during their run to glory this summer.
