Cristiano Ronaldo ended his goal drought on Saturday night by scoring the winner in Real Madrid’s 2-1 victory over Real Sociedad. The win sees manager Jose Mourinho’s team ascend to the top of the Spanish La Liga for the first time this season.

25-million Euro signing Argentine Angel Di Maria put Real ahead in the 51st with a fine dribbling effort for his first goal of the season.

Raul Tamudo equalized for the hosts in the 62nd when he ran on to an Antoine Griezmann free kick to hit the ball into the net with his knee.

Ronaldo got the winner for Los Blancos in the 75th when his free kick deflected off teammate Pepe and looped into the net.
