2010/11 UEFA Champions League Group Stage Draw

The group stage draw for the 2010/11 UEFA Champions League has taken place with seemingly easy passages to the tournament Round of 16 for contenders Manchester United, Chelsea FC, FC Barcelona and holders Inter Milan.

However, the draw did result in what can be deemed the UEFA Champions League “Group of Death” featuring former winners AC Milan, Ajax Amsterdam and Real Madrid along with French side AJ Auxerre.

The group-stage fixtures of the UEFA Champions League will be played on 14/15 September, 28/29 September, 19/20 October, 2/3 November, 23/24 November and 7/8 December. All group winners and runners-up will progress to the Round of 16 to be held early in 2011. The third placed teams in each group will qualify for the UEFA Europa League round of 32.
