2010/11 UEFA Champions League Play-off Round Draw
The draw for play-off round of the 2010/11 UEFA Champions League took place in Nyon, Switzerland earlier today. The winners of each of the round’s home and away series will advance to the group stage of Europe’s premier club football competition while the losers enter the UEFA Europa League group stage.
The first legs of the 2010/11 UEFA Champions League Play-off Round will be held on 17/18 August with the return legs occurring a week later.
Highlights of the draw include:
– Two-time UEFA Cup winners Sevilla FC meeting SC Braga in an Iberian derby
– Norwegian titleholders Rosenborg BK clashing with Danish giants FC København in an all Scandinavian affair
– Tottenham Hotspur FC making their UEFA Champions League debut against Switzerland’s BSC Young Boys
