Newly appointed Brazil national team coach Mano Menezes has named only four of the players who represented the Selecção at World Cup 2010 for the August 10th friendly against the United States in New Jersey.
Dani Alves, Ramires, Thiago Silva and Robinho are the only survivors of the Brazilian team that fell to the Netherlands in the quarter finals of the tournament in South Africa last month.
Menezes has stated that he will be adapting a 4-2-3-1 formation for Brazil and that he views the 2012 London Olympics and Copa América as important preparatory tournaments for World Cup 2014.
