The Valenciennes Football Club (also known as Valenciennes FC ) is a French football club from the town of Valenciennes in the Nord department. It has featured several well-known players in the past included Cameroon 1990 World Cup hero Roger Milla and former French international Jean-Pierre Papin.
The club returned to the top flight of French soccer, Ligue 1, after more than a decade’s exile in 2006. Valenciennes FC finished the 2009/10 Ligue 1 season in 10th place.
Earlier today, Valenciennes FC officially launched its Nike 20010/11 home, away and third kits. All of the new kits use the Nike design used for the Brazil World Cup 2010 home kit.
