The Swedish Football Association and Umbro have launched the 2010/12 home kits of the Swedish national team. The new Umbro home kit was used for the first time during yesterday’s 1-0 victory over Wales at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea.
According to the Swedish FA’s website, the classic blue and yellow home shirt is inspired by Ove Kindvall’s and Tommy Svensson’s time with the national team in the 1960s. Its design is similar to that of the Republic of Ireland 2010/11 home kit.
Sweden will use its Umbro 2010/12 home and away kits during its Euro 2012 qualification campaign and for international friendlies.
