Video: Real Madrid 3 – Deportivo La Coruna 1 (Spanish La Liga Extended Highlights)

[digg=http://digg.com/soccer/Real_Madrid_3_Deportivo_La_Coruna_1_Highlights]Real Madrid won for the first time in 19 years at Deportivo La Coruna’s Riazor Stadium on Saturday with a 3-1 victory that saw the Merengues solidify their hold on second place in the Spanish La Liga.

Esteban Granero’s header gave Madrid the lead in the 13th minute while Karim Benzema doubled the lead just before halftime on a backheel from Jose Maria “Guti” Gutierrez. Benzema got a second in injury time following a penalty conversion from La Coruna’s Ivan “Riki” Sanchez Rico.

FC Barcelona remain on top of the league by five points following their 1-0 away win over  Sporting Gijon 1-0.
