Club Deportivo Universidad Católica (abbreviated UC by many) is one of Chile’s most popular football clubs, based in the country’s capital, Santiago. It is one of the most successful and popular football clubs in Chile and considered one of the three “big teams”. Apart from having a team on the first division, the club has a third division team, called Universidad Católica “B” made up of under-20 players. Católica won Chilean football’s last international cup when they triumphed in the 1994 Interamerican Cup.
Puma and Universidad Católica have launched the club’s new home and away kits to be used until the end of the Apertura 2010 season. This was done under the theme “La Nueva Cruzada” or “The New Crusade.”
The new UC home kit was used for the first time on Monday evening in a matchup with Deportes La Serena.
