Cruz Azul Umbro 2009/10 Home and Away Kits / Camisetas

[digg=http://digg.com/soccer/Cruz_Azul_Umbro_2009_10_Home_and_Away_Kits_Camisetas]Club Deportivo Social y Cultural Cruz Azul , also known as Cruz Azul, is a Mexican professional football (soccer) club. They are nicknamed “Los Cementeros” (the “Cement Makers” in English) or La Máquina (“The Machine”) and currently play in the Primera División de México.

Los Cementeros are traditionally one of the most popular and successful teams in Mexico. They have been the Primera División champions 8 times and trail only Toluca with 9, Club América with 10, and Guadalajara with 11. Cruz Azul was also the first and only Mexican or CONCACAF team to reach the final of the Copa Libertadores when they lost on penalties to Argentine football giants Boca Juniors.

Currently Cruz Azul’s kits and training wear are provided by Umbro.

In an elaborate ceremony last night at El Museo Interactivo de Economía de la Ciudad de México, Cruz Azul presented their Umbro home and away kits for the upcoming Mexican Apertura 2009. The Cruz Azul cheerleaders or Las Celestes were on hand for additional entertainment. Here’s a look at the new kits being shown off and of Las Celestes in action.
