Pictures: The ChivaGirls Pay Tribute to Michael Jackson with Zidane in Attendance

[digg=http://digg.com/soccer/The_ChivaGirls_Pay_Tribute_to_Michael_Jackson_with_Zidane]Popular Major League Soccer cheerleader troupe ChivaGirls were in action again on Saturday night during Chivas USA’s 0-1 loss to the streaking L.A. Galaxy. At halftime, they became the latest soccer outfit to pay tribute to fallen pop star Michael Jackson with a special performance dedicated to the Gloved One that featured all 18 members of ChivaGirls 2009, pyrotechnic effects and 10-year-old dancer Skylan Brooks.

In announcing the performance on July 9th, ChivaGirls Director Aimee Edmundson said, “Michael left an indelible mark on the world of dance and music and what better moment for us to pay tribute to him than during our biggest game of the year at The Home Depot Center.”

In attendance on Saturday night was France, Juventus and Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane was. He was part of Suite Beckham for quite some time but disappeared around the 70th minute.
