Aberdeen FC Nike 2009/10 Third Kit / Jersey

Once managed by the great Sir Alex Ferguson, Aberdeen Football Club (also known as The Dons, The Dandies or The Dandy Dons) is a Scottish professional football club based in Aberdeen. They compete in the Scottish Premier League and are one of the most successful teams in their country, having won four league titles and seven Scottish Cups, including a record three in a row during the 1980s. They are also the only Scottish team to have won two European trophies, both in the same year. Despite competing in the Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup finals, both in 2000, they have not won any silverware since 1995.

Today Aberdeen FC unveiled their new Nike third kit for the 2009/10 season. According to their site:

In a style echoing design elements of the new 2009/10 home kit, the kit is predominantly black with horizontal gold stripes. It comes complete with a sleek embroidered badge.

As with all AFC replica kits, the black and gold shirt is constructed from Nike’s innovative Dri-Fit fabric, which keeps players drier, cooler and lighter by drawing sweat from the body to the fabric’s surface, while the mesh back panel provides optimum ventilation rapidly moving moisture away from the body.
