Wrexham AFC Umbro 2009/10 Home and Away Kits

Wrexham Association Football Club (nicknamed The Red Dragons, or more traditionally, The Robins, their previous nickname) are a professional football team based in Wrexham, north-east Wales, who play in the English football pyramid. They currently play in the Conference National / Blue Square Premier following their relegation from Football League Two at the end of 2007—08 after 87 years of consecutive membership. The fifth tier of the English football league system, also known as the Conference National or Blue Square Premier, is the lowest level of competition that Wrexham have played in since they were first elected to the football league in 1921.

Wrexham AFC recently unveiled their Umbro home and away kits for the 2009/10 season. The home kit features a previously unseen Umbro 2009/10 shirt design. According to the club’s website:

A slightly retro collar finishes off a strip that incorporates that classic Wrexham red look which has proved so popular down the years.

This season the red top will be finished off with white shorts and socks. While we usually wear red socks, those supporters of a certain age will remember that the all conquering 1977/78 side also wore white socks!

The white away kit Umbro design has been out for over a year now. West Ham United used it for the 2008/09 season.
