Kilmarnock Football Club are a Scottish football team based in the town of Kilmarnock, Ayrshire. Founded in 1869, “Killie” are the oldest club currently in the Scottish Premier League.
As Kilmarnock Football Club continues to celebrate its 140th anniversary, it has launched its first team home strip for season 2009-10.
The club is once again using its own ‘1869’ brand for the kit that was worn for the first time on Saturday 16th May in the match against Inverness CT. It features Killie’s traditional blue and white stripes complemented by high visibility gold piping, panels and cuffs. The collar has further retro style gold features.
According to Kilmarbock’s website “the ‘1869’ branding has been updated to include the Saltire, highlighting Kilmarnock Football Club’s proud heritage of being the oldest professional club in Scotland.”
