[digg=http://digg.com/soccer/Andrei_Arshavin_Models_the_Arsenal_Jersey]English Premier League contenders have officially signed former Zenit St Petersburg midfielder and Russian international Andrei Arshavin. Here’s a look at the Russian Architect in the Gunner 2008/09 home kit.

The 27-year-old agreed a “long-term” deal with the Gunners on Monday. Arshavin could make his debut in Sunday’s north London derby at Tottenham but given that the Russian domestic season finished in November the player is more likely to be allowed some time to build up full match fitness.
