[digg=http://digg.com/soccer/Toronto_FC_Dwayne_De_Rosario_Official_Presentation]TORONTO –Toronto FC unveiled new signing Dwayne De Rosario during a press conference at Air Canada Center yesterday. The Canadian international was signed to a four-year contract after being acquired in a trade with the Houston Dynamo for defender Julius James and an allocation fee.
Of the move to TFC, the Scarborough, Ontario native said “It’s a dream come true. I think that’s the goal of every kid growing up aspiring to be a professional soccer player — you want to play in your hometown and carry on your career playing professionally at home. Now all the kids growing up have something to aspire to […] and that’s Toronto FC.
“I said I wanted to play for TFC one day and that day has come. It’s a proud moment for me not only as a player in MLS but as a Canadian. Hopefully this whole thing will help not just TFC but the national team as well.”
