Nike has launched the limited edition Black History Month 2018 Mercurial Vapor XI SE as part of its 2018 BHM Collection.
The boot was worn by Kevin-Prince Boateng during Eintracht Frankfurt’s 1-1 Bundesliga draw with Freiburg last Saturday. Paris Saint-Germain wingback Dani Alves donned the cleats in his team’s win over FC Nantes on Sunday.
The colors used in the latest BHM collection (including the Black History Month 2018 Mercurial Vapor XI SE) were inspired by the Pan-African flag (Pan-Africanism is a worldwide intellectual movement that aims to encourage and strengthen the bond of solidarity between all people of African descent).
The logo of Nike’s EQUALITY campaign to support inclusion for everyone by providing a platform for all athletes to celebrate and participate in this movement appears is printed on the insole of the boot.
