Argentine giants Club Atlético River Plate tonight revealed their 2017/18 home kit from adidas Argentina.
The three-time South American and one-time club world champions’ 17/18 home shirt introduces a brand new design from adidas that features a buttoned Henley collar and side striping.
Modeled by River Plate players Rodolfo D´Onofrio, Marcelo Gallardo y los jugadores Leonardo Ponzio, Jonatan Maidana, Ignacio Scocco, Germán Lux, Gonzalo Martínez and Ignacio Fernández for its launch, the new jersey will be worn for the first time when the club meets Tigre in Primera División on Sunday.
The River Plate 2017/18 adidas home kit uses the club’s famous white base with a red sash. It has no contrasting detailing on its collar and sleeves in order to maintain a clean look based on the River shirt worn by the squad called “La Máquina” (The Machine) of 1941 to 1947. The team won four Argentine league titles during this period.
A print bearing the River Plate crest and nickname of El Más Grande (The Greatest) is printed on the upper outside back of the kit.
