Borussia Dortmund launched their 2017/18 PUMA home kit at their club shop, BVB-FanWelt, on Thursday evening. The event was attended by Dortmund first teamers Emre Mor and Alexander Isak. The shirt will be available worldwide via World Soccer Shop, Kitbag, Subside Sports, Lovell Soccer, Pro:Direct Soccer and UK Soccer Shop.
The Borussia Dortmund 17/18 home kit introduces a new, bespoke design from PUMA. In the well-known yellow base of the eight-time Berman Bundesliga champions, the jersey features BVB’s traditional black detailing via a series of horizontal bands on its front.
The bands have a faded effect because they are made of a series of dots. This also creates a gradient effect that reveals the yellow base in a alternating pattern. The PUMA T7 shoulder stripes have the same effect built into them.
The Borussia Dortmund 2017/18 PUMA home kit has a modern v-neck collar with black trim. “BVB” is printed on its signoff area.
The same black shorts and yellow and black socks used with Dortmund’s 2016/17 home uniform accompany the new shirt. They’ve are now called BVB’s 16/18 garments.
According to PUMA: The 2017/18 BVB home jersey pays tribute to the club and their fans characterizing their passion, willpower and enthusiasm for the game with a vibrant colour gradient from black to yellow creating a visual highlight.
In true PUMA style the Formstrip and dryCELL technologies lend to the shirts high-quality functionalities and will serve BVB the optimal comfort going into the next season.
Borussia Dortmund will debut their 2017/18 PUMA home kit when they host Werder Bremen on Saturday. A win for Die Schwarzgelben (The Black and Yellows) should secure a spot for them in the group stage of next season’s UEFA Champions League.
