Chinese powerhouse Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao Football Club has released their 2017 home kit from Nike.
Managed by Brazil World Cup winning coach Luiz Felipe Scolari and featuring internationals such as Paulinho, Ricardo Goulart (both Brazil) and Jackson Martinez (Colombia), the Chinese Super League champions of the last six seasons are back in action in their usual red primary shirt.
Worn during Guangzhou Evergrande’s recent AFC Champions League win over Eastern and Chinese Super Cup victory over Beijing Guoan, the shirt is in the club’s traditional red with gold details. It uses Nike’s Vapor jersey design with a series of tonal stripes on its front.
Six golden stars are printed on the kit’s left sleeve in recognition of Guangzhou’s CSL titles. Two stars recognizing the club’s 2013 and 2015 Champions League wins appear above the team crest. “GUANGZHOU” is printed in gold on the rear outside collar. The Guangzhou Evergrande 2017 Nike kit is completed with white short and red socks.
