The Colorado Rapids will wear an away jersey in the colors of their state flag for the second time during their 2017 and 2018 Major League Soccer and US Open Cup seasons.
The former MLS champions will once again use what has proven to be a popular colorway for their 2017/18 adidas away jersey.
The shirt uses a clever new adidas design featuring a modern henley collar with a single red button. Its body is gold while its sleeves, collar and adidas shoulder stripes are in what the Rapids call “power blue”.
The Colorado state flag is printed on the upper outside back of the kit while the altitude of the Denver (5,280 feet) is printed on the right sleeve in red. The red letter “C” of the Colorado state flag is printed on the jocktag area of the shirt to reflect the Rapids pride in their Rocky Mountain state.
