Melbourne Victory 2016/17 adidas Home Kit

Melbourne Victory Football Club have unveiled their adidas home kit for their 2016/17 A-League and FFA Cup seasons.

The dark blue Victory primary jersey features Melbourne’s traditional v-shape on its chest. It is made up of five stacked smaller chevrons in different shades of blue that fade through a gradient effect. The use of a non-white chest chevron for the first time represents the club “continuously evolving and pushing the boundaries in football”.

A tonal graphic made up of the words “Melbourne boys are still number one” appears on the kit’s sleeve along with adidas’ three shoulder stripes. The text pays homage to a popular Melbourne Victory fan chant.

Rumoured to be in talks with former Chelsea and Ghana midfielder Michael Essien, Melbourne Victory are the A-League’s most successful team with three championships to date.
