Up-Close: PUMA evoSPEED 1.5 and evoPOWER 1.3 Tricks Editions

PUMA only releases its Tricks soccer boots for major international tournaments such as the World Cup and EUROs. The eye-catching shoes that use different colors for foot leg are back in time for this year’s UEFA EURO 2016 and Copa America competitions.

Seen in action in the UEFA Champions League, Barclays Premier League and Spanish La Liga on the feet of PUMA athletes such as Sergio “Kun” Aguero (Manchester City), Antoine Griezman (Atletico Madrid), Olivier Giroud (Arsenal FC), Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund) and Cesc Fàbregas (Chelsea FC), the new Tricks boots are now available at World Soccer Shop, Lovell Soccer and Kitbag.

They are inspired by Cameroonian Rigobert Song’s World Cup moment in 1998, when he decided on a whim to lace up two different colored PUMA King boots. His right was yellow, his left red. As Song said, “you must be bold” to wear two different colors on each foot and that’s exactly what PUMA Tricks represents. Standing out on the pitch requires attitude. One that commands the ball, the attention and the moment. A desire to Play Loud for all the world to see.

With 2016 sportswear trends in mind, PUMA’s designers worked with a CMYK color palette to create left boots in Pink Glo and right boots in Safety Yellow, connecting to the black heel with a geometric pattern.

“The Tricks boots match my style of play perfectly,” said Aguero. “Everyone went crazy for Tricks at the World Cup two years ago and PUMA has outdone itself by bringing these boots back to the pitch with the bold pink and yellow colours. I love the evoSPEED boots I am wearing at the moment – they are so lightweight you can hardly feel them on your feet but still provide a lot of support.”

evoPOWER 1.3 wearer Cesc Fàbregas commented: “PUMA have done it again and set the style this summer with their signature bold two-colour boots!
