FC Barcelona to Wear Special Johan Cruyff Jersey for El Clásico

FC Barcelona will wear special version of their 2015/16 Nike home jersey celebrating club legend Johan Cruyff for Saturday’s El Clásico against Real Madrid. The former Barca player and manager died on March 24 at age 68 following a prolonged battle with cancer.

Barcelona will replace their 2015 FIFA World Club Cup champions patch in the center breast area of their shirt with the Catalan text “Gràcies Johan” (Thank you Johan) as an expression of gratitude for Cruyff’s immense contributions to the club’s success over the past four decades.

Cruyff represenfed FC Barcelona from 1973 to 1978 as a player. He manager the team from 1988 to 1996.
