SC Bastia To Wear Furiani Disaster Anniversary Kit vs. ASSE

2015 French Coupe de la Ligue finalists SC Bastia will wear a special edition kit marking the 23rd anniversary of the Furiani Disaster for their May 2nd Ligue 1 meeting with ASSE.

The one-off Kappa shirt is mainly black with SC Bastia’s blue and white represented via a chest band. The text “Memoria. 23 anni digia. Collectif 5 mai 92.” is printed within and below the band.

The Furiani Disaster is regarded as one of the worst tragedies in French soccer history. 18 football fans perished on May 5, 1992 when a section of the terraces at Bastia’s Armand Cesari Stadium collapsed during a Coupe de France meeting between the Corsican side and Olympique Marseille.
