The San Jose Earthquakes revealed a mainly white 2015 away kit from MLS technical partner adidas ahead of Saturday’s season-opening loss to FC Dallas. The new shirt will be on sale World Soccer Shop and Kitbag.
The latest Quakes secondary jersey takes its inspiration from the Northern California club’s roots in the original North American Soccer League (NASL) in the 1970s.
This is reflected in the color of the shirt which is the same as the away kit of the 1974-1988 San Jose Earthquakes. Neck taping reading “SAN JOSE 1974” celebrates the year of the team’s founding along with a jocktag on the lower front left of the jersey featuring the text “SJ74”.
San Jose Earthquakes colored MLS badges appear on both sleeves while an MLS Founding Team print adorns the back side of the club crest. The kit is accented in red.
