Up-Close: COPA Football Spring / Summer 2015 Collection

Netherlands-based retro football specialists COPA Football recently revealed a series of tees as part of their Spring / Summer 2015 collection. Here is an up-close look at a couple of shirts from the range.

The designs in question are the white crewneck “Pitch Invasion” and the v-neck “La Bombonera” t-shirts. Pitch Invasion uses a collage of pictures from the 1970s and 1980s celebrating the joy of football fans who storm the field after big victories by their clubs. It does carry significant nostalgia since governing authorities now discourage invasions by fining clubs.

La Bombonera pays homage to one of the cathedrals of world soccer – Boca Juniors’ stadio Alberto J. Armando. It uses stunning imagery of the stadium and Boca’s fans coupled with one of the club’s songs in cursive text.

As is the case with all of COPA Football’s tees, the new shirts are made of extra soft premium cotton that is extremely comfortable on the skin.
