Chelsea FC Sign Five-Year Shirt Sponsorship Deal with Yokohama

Barclays Premier League title contenders Chelsea Football Club today announced a five-year deal that will see Japan’s Yokohama Rubber Company become The Blues shirt sponsor from the beginning of the 2015/16 season.

The agreement is believed to be worth £200m ($300m US) in what would be the second highest paying kit sponsorship in Premier League history. It was announced at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge Stadium via a press conference that featured Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho and team captain John Terry.

The logo of Korean electronic giant Samsung has been a fixture on Blues’ jerseys over the last decade courtesy of a ten-year sponsorship that ends at the end of the 2014/15 season.
