Norway FA Launches New Logo and National Team Crest

With the release of Norway’s first kits from new technical partner Nike imminent, the Football Association of Norway (Norges Fotballforbund) has launched a new organizational logo and a new team crest.

The crest will feature on the match and training kits of all of Norway’s national teams as Norway’s men’s team continues its UEFA EURO 2016 campaign and its women’s team looks for its second world championship at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015.

According to the NFF their logo has been given a modern expression with a round shape symbolizing a shared vision that football should be for everyone – they view integration as a core value in Norwegian football. The colors of the logo symbolize the NFF’s value of being Norwegian regardless of ethnicity and religious conviction.

The new team crest has a classic football badge shield shape bordered in gold with the Norwegian flag as its core design element. The NFF says that new crest symbolizes the community in a multicultural Norway while the flag symbolizes the pride and cohesion of country.

The Norway men’s senior national team returns to action in March in a EURO 2016 qualifier against Croatia. The women’s team meets Sweden in January in friendly action.
