As we approach the New Year, the pecking order in the major European leagues is starting to take shape. Sega video game Football Manager 2015 has simulated the English Premier League, Italian Serie A, Spanish La Liga and French Ligue 1.

The simulation is from weekend’s matches until the end of the season to determine who will be celebrating glory and who will be left contemplating what might have been at the end of the current campaign. Below are the results of this simulation and attached are end of season tables along with individual performances.

Premier League

  • Chelsea win the league, ahead of Manchester City with Manchester United third and Arsenal fourth
  • Southampton finish 5th and Tottenham 6th
  • Burnley finish bottom with QPR in 19th and Hull 18th
  • Sergio Aguero finishes as Premier League top scorer with 21 goals, Diego Costa is second on 19 goals
  • Cesc Fabregas is the best performer with a  7.49 average rating

  • Carlos Tevez is the top scorer with 18 goals ahead of Jose Callejon
  • Arturo Vidal is the top performer with a 7.27 average rating

  • Real Madrid win the title with Barcelona second and Atletico Madrid third
  • Sevilla claim fourth spot with Villarreal fifth and Valencia sixth
  • At the bottom of the table Cordoba, Almeria and Elche are relegated from La Liga
  • Cristiano Ronaldo finishes with 36 goals with Messi scoring 24
  • Ronaldo also finishes the season as the best performer with a 7.69 average rating ahead of team-mate Gareth Bale who ends with a 7.51 average rating

  • PSG win their third straight Ligue 1 crown beating Marseille into second place
  • Saint-Etienne pip Lyon for third place with Monaco and Bordeaux rounding out the top six
  • Bastia, Caen and Guingamp are relegated from Ligue 1 at the end of the season
  • Alexandre Lacazette and Andre-Pierre Gignac tie for the top goalscorer award with 19 goals each and Zlatan Ibrahimovic finishes just one goal behind
