Reissue: PUMA King SL Classico 2001

PUMA has reissued the 2001 King SL with updated technology. Called the King SL Classico 2001, the boot is a limited edition shoe of which only 2,001 pairs have been produced. It will be available at World Soccer Shop. 

Updated and Re-released – The 2001 PUMA King SL Classico

The PUMA King SL Classico 2001 is a lightweight soccer shoe inspired by its predecessor.  It is made of a black, white and gold K-leather upper with a modern lightweight Pebax outsole. Its has a mixed stud configuration featuring both bladed and conical cleats and has an astoundingly low weight of only 6.2 ounces.

A forerunner to today’s speed boots, the original version of the King SL was worn by eventually football superstars Samuel Eto’o and Zlatan Ibrahimović back in 2001.
