Club América 2014/15 Nike Home and Away Jerseys

Liga MX giants Club América have released their Nike home and away jerseys for the Apertura 2014 and Clausura 2015 seasons. Both will be available at World Soccer Shop.

Here is a detailed look at both of Las Águilas (The Eagles) 14/15 shirts along with details on them from Nike.

HOME KIT

When the club first launched in 1916, Club America players wore home shirts in a distinctive pale yellow. Half a century later, those shirts were replaced by the brighter yellow jerseys the club has worn for the last several decades.

For this upcoming season, by popular demand and in an exciting move, Club America will once again play in the original colors that honor the club’s founding players and earliest teams. Club America is one of Mexico’s most popular teams and this stunning new kit will inspire even greater rivalry between the club and its competitors throughout the country.

The new pale yellow home shirt features a stylish ribbed polo neck collar with a long placket. The famous Club America crest is also featured prominently on the chest. A blue pennant tab inside the back of the neck has a large yellow eagle to represent Club America’s nickname ‘Las Águilas’ (The Eagles).

The new home shorts are dark blue, while the new home socks are pale yellow.

AWAY KIT

The new away shirt is dark blue with a constructed crew neck collar and a V-shaped insert at the front. The cuffs, club crest and Nike Swoosh are all in this season’s new tone of pale yellow from the home kit.

Inside the back of the neck is a pale yellow pennant tab with the defiant statement: ‘Odiame Mas’ (Hate me more), which captures the playful sentiment Club America players and supporters feel towards rivals envious of their status as one of Mexico’s biggest and most successful clubs.

The new away shorts are dark blue with a pale yellow stripe along each side, while the new away socks are also dark blue.
