Scotland 2014/15 adidas Home Kit

The Scotland 2014 adidas home kit was unveiled by the Scottish Football Association on Tuesday. Its release follows the SFA extending its technical sponsorship deal with adidas until 2014 earlier this week.

According to the SFA: Scotland will wear their new home kit (available now at JD Sports) for the first time against Jurgen Klinsmann’s USA at Hampden Park on Friday.

The new kit includes the latest in adidas performance technologies and is the lightest ever made – 40% lighter than previous kits.

From a design perspective, the new kit will include a redeveloped crest in a tonal execution to give a clean yet modern feel, whilst a drop-needle stitch fabric, coupled with tartan taping and a cardinal piping give a premium and classical look.

Another key design feature of the replica shirt is on the reverse, where a spider print is displayed, paying homage to the he story of Robert the Bruce & the Spider “If at first you don’t succeed – try, try again”.

Scotland Supporters Club members were given their first up-close-and-personal look at the new kit last night at an exclusive Q&A with the Scotland national coach, Gordon Strachan, and the goal heroes of the 2-0 win against Coatia, Robert Snodgrass and Steven Naismith.
