Sydney FC 2013/14 adidas Home and Away Kits

Former A-League champions Sydney FC have launched their 2013/14 home and away kits from adidas.

According to adidas Australia: Sydney FC today officially unveiled its adidas playing strips for the new season with a new look black and slate away strip while the home strip returns to a lighter shade of blue.

Sydney FC will play at home in the traditional sky blue shirts, with a continuation of the navy blue pin stripes, tweaked slightly to feature a sunken navy blue neckline. The home strip also features navy blue shorts and sky blue socks.

The popular black away jersey has been retained for the 2013/14 season although the front of the strip features horizontal shale panelling, complimented by shale shorts and black socks with a sky blue trim.

Sydney FC fans with a sense of history will be pleased to see orange return to the playing strip with Sydney FC goalkeepers taking the field at Allianz Stadium wearing a vivid red and orange strip. The goalkeepers will also have sky blue and yellow alternate strips to use throughout the 2013/14 season.

“adidas’s global design team worked closely with Sydney FC management and players to select the design, colours, necklines and materials” said Meaghan Jeffrey, Head of Sports Marketing for Pacific.

“This collaborative process has led to a range of kit which optimises player performance but also emphasises the iconic features that strongly represent the club.

“The new Home kit features a contemporary vertical pin stripe sublimation and contrast yoke neckline, utilising the traditional and iconic sky blue colours.

“Continuing the striping theme, the Away kit utilises a new colour approach with Sydney FC wearing black tonal horizontal stripes with key colour pops of sky blue throughout the kit.

“Both jerseys feature CLIMACOOL® technology which provides heat and moisture management through optimum ventilation.”
