Olympique Lyon 2013/14 adidas Home, Away and Third Kits

Currently in third place in the French Ligue 1 table, Olympique Lyonnais have released their adidas home, away and third kits for the 2013/14 season (now available at World Soccer Shop). Here is a look at each along with the inspiration behind each according to the club’s website.

Olympique Lyon 2013/14 adidas Home Jersey

The elegant Lyon 2013/14 home top has been created in the pure traditions of the club and will be worn by the players for the first time next Sunday at the Stade Gerland and the visit of PSG.

The blue and red V that the club top wore back in the 1950s has returned with a modern updated design. The original club logo has returned in the middle of the chest and forms the point of the historic V.

The ForMotion technology, that moves and accompanies the body’s natural muscular movement has created these tops to be worn in all official competition.

The mostly red OL 2013/14 adidas away top represents the club’s historical colours. A thick dark blue band is feature across the hearts of the players who will look ultra elegant as they ply their trade at opposition grounds.

Because OL fans support their club every day of the year, this top features a strong ‘lifestyle’ dimension enabling supporters to where the short with pride outside the Stade Gerland.

Olympique Lyon 2013/14 adidas Third “Glow in the Dark” Jersey

For the first time in history, an elite football club presents a luminescent top comprising a special textile that attracts the light and projects it back out into the darkness.

This innovation pays homage to Lyon, the City of Light. In daylight, the top is blue with a red and white band across the chest.

The club logo and the adidas logo appear in white, as does the trim on the sleeves. But at night, all these white elements appear luminescent.
