UEFA Champions League 2012/13 Group Stage Draw

The draw for the group stage of the 2012/13 UEFA Champions League took place in Monaco on Thursday.

The event saw Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, Ajax Amsterdam and Real Madrid, reigning champions of four of Europe’s most competitive domestic leagues, drawn together in the competition’s Group D.

Defending champions Chelsea FC are pooled with 1984/85 and 1996/96 winners Juventus FC, Ukraine’s Shakhtar Donetsk and newcomers FC Nordsjælland of Denmark in Group C.

Group stage matches are scheduled for 18/19 September, 2/3 October, 23/24 October, 6/7 November, 20/21 November and 4/5 December. Click here for the full match schedule (PDF).

Group winners and runners-up advance to the Champions League Round of 15 while third-placed team enter the Round of 32 of the Europa League.
