Video: Liverpool 2 – Manchester United 1 (English FA Cup Highlights)

Dirk Kuyt’s late goal gave Liverpool a 2-1 win over Manchester United at Anfield on Saturday to send his team into the Round of 16 of the 2011/12 English FA Cup.

The meeting of English Premier League powers seemed destined for a replay at Old Trafford after Ji-Sung Park’s 39th goal equalized for United.  Daniel Agger had headed Liverpool into the lead int he 21st from a corner kick.

Substitute Kuyt eluded defender Patrice Evra in the 88th to latch onto forward Andy Carroll’s headed flick of Pepe Reina’s goalkick to secure the win for Liverpool in front of the club’s storied Kop.

The win sees Liverpool eliminate the first and second placed English Premier League clubs from cup competition within the past four days. Kenny Dalglish’s team defeated Manchester City 4-3 on aggregate to make the final of the League Cup on Wednesday night.
