Video: Real Madrid 1 – FC Barcelona 3 (Spanish La Liga Highlights)

FC Barcelona came from a goal down to defeat Real Madrid 3-1 at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday. The result sees the defending Spanish La Liga Champions replace Madrid on goal difference atop the 2011/12 table but with one more game played than Real.

French striker Karim Benzema capitalized on poor defending by Barca to put the hosts up 1-0 after 21 seconds.

Lionel Messi dribbled through the Madrid defense before setting up an Alexis Sanchez equalizer after 30 minutes. Real were unfortunate to find themselves down 2-1 when Xavi’s shot deflected off Marcelo to give Barcelona the lead in the 53rd.

Cesc Fabregas headed in Dani Alves’ cross in the 66th to seal the win for Pep Guardiola’s side and end Real Madrid’s 15-match winning streak.
