The Peru Umbro 2011/12 home jersey to be used for the first part of the team’s 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign was officially launched on Friday.
The new kit takes a new spin on Peru’s traditional white shirt with a red sash via the incorporation of the colors of the Incan empire of Tawantinsuyo and its flag, the Unancha, on its collar and neckline. The jersey’s sash tapers in the waist area in the front and back of the kit.
The Peru Umbro 2011/12 home kit will make its on the field debut on October 7th when La Blanquirroja (the Red and White) meets Paraguay in Lima for the first match of their 2014 World Cup qualifying run.

My personal opinion, the peruvian jersey design is too elegant. I would change the Peruvian soccer federation shield, it’s not modern at all. I don’t understand the point of those colorful lines inside the neck part of the jersey. The line seems better when the Peruvian players ware it, so I would say it looks impressive the way the red line falls down around it.
It’s interesting to see a will to innovate. But first it’s a football jersey and the market demands to look modern and stand out from other designs of course.
Looks great the best one yet already ordered mine
