PUMA v1.11 Soccer Boot

After being spotted on the feet of PUMA athletes Ibrahim Afellay (FC Barcelona and the Netherlands) and Loïc Rémy (Olympique Marseille and France) in training sessions, the much-anticipated PUMA v1.11 soccer boot has been launched and is now available at the World Soccer Shop PUMA store. It is also expected to be worn by Inter Milan and Cameroon striker Samuel Eto’o in the near future.

The fourth incarnation in the v1.xx series, the v1.11 follows the popular PUMA v1.06, 1.08 and 1.10 onto soccer fields worldwide in Fluo Green/Midnight Navy/White and White/Black/Dresden Blue colorways. K-leather and an SL (lightweight) versions of the boot will be available in addition to the synthetic leather version shown.

Sportslifestyle brand PUMA is proud to introduce its latest and lightest v1.11 football boot. Continuing with the PUMA Speed theme, the v1.11 boot incorporates premium lightweight technologies that enable all kinds of movements while supporting the player’s speed to the maximum. Along with a full product range that includes gloves, tees, shorts and training wear, the v1.11 hits stores on June 1, 2011.

The v1.11 is the third generation football boot that uses the special UNI technology, where the upper material is stitched rather than glued to the sole, providing the perfect fit by perfectly replicating the unique PUMA Aptolast. The v1.11 also features a super soft premium lightweight microfiber upper material. The central lacing which is underneath the lace cover makes the boot suitable for various footshapes, and the lace cover is held down by an elastic strap and a TriHook fastener to ensure a snug fit that provides a smooth kicking area and a unique look. A carbon fiber composite in the forefoot helps provide optimal pressure distribution, reactivity and flexibility.

In addition, the new v1.1 boot enables greater playing stability, through an external heel counter and a Pebax frame that provides support to the outsole. The midfoot area is reinforced with a TPU composite which secures further stability and helps to avoid midfoot bending. This increased stability also enables an optimal traction as well as manoeuvrability, provided through the pointed stud configuration featured on this new boot.

The v1.11 women’s edition also enables female players to become faster. Through the fluorescent green that is used, the shoe will be very visible on the pitch and create a unique look. Very similar to the men’s edition, it features analogue attributes such as the microfiber upper material, the one-piece outsole and the perfect stability and support, which makes the v1.11 boot also a desirable product for women.

In addition to the new v1.11 football boot, PUMA is also introducing a wide range of speed apparel and equipment products. These products have all been designed in both a fluorescent green and striking blue color tone.
