Review: COPA Football Scarf T-Shirt

The Netherands-based retro soccer specialists of COPA Football are back with a brand new Spring Summer 2011 collection of t-shirts, hoodies, track jackets and even retro pants. We’ve had a chance to look at the new COPA Scarf t-shirt from the collection as we continue to bring you a look at some of the newest soccer gear on the market.

In a year in which the Copa America (South America’s football championship) takes place, it seems apt that COPA would launch the Scarf t-shirt. Indeed, it incorporates design elements that South America soccer (or Fútbol) is known for. These include the t-shirt’s sash (incidentally shared with the Peru national team and River Plate of Argentina home jerseys) and its Inca-inspired scarf. With the temperature warming up, the Scarf t-shirt may be ideal for making a statement about your love for the game from the pitch to the pool to the pub. It is also great for taking in some Copa America 2011 action as a neutral at your favorite footie viewing spot.

As with all COPA t-shirts, the new Scarf top is made of supersoft, high quality, very breathable cotton that feels absolutely wonderful on the skin. It uses high quality stitching and construction and should last well beyond the summer of 2011. Although retro in look, the Scarf t-shirt features a slim fit that is in line with the fashion trends of 2011. Lastly, the Scarf t-shirt is made in the European country of Portugal (home of Cristiano Ronaldo). We found this to be welcome given that European-made garments are becoming rarer every fashion season.
