Cristiano Ronaldo’s 13th-minute free-kick and Mesut Özil’s deflected shot a minute later gave hosts Real Madrid a 2-0 win over AC Milan in Tuesday’s marquee UEFA Champions League matchup.

The win sees Real move to nine points from three matches in Group G of the tournament. Milan now share fours points with Ajax while AJ Auxerre remains pointless following three consecutive defeats.
