Video: Brazil 2 – Italy 0 (The Robinho Show / International Friendly Highlights)

[digg=http://digg.com/soccer/Brazil_2_Italy_0_The_Robinho_Show_Friendly_Highlights]This game should now be called the Robinho Show. The Manchester City striker and club team mate Elano scored for Brazil in a 2-0 victory over world champion Italy.

Brazil went ahead after 16 minutes thanks to Elano. The attacking midfielder backheeled the ball to Robinho, who returned it for the onrushing midfielder to slot past Gianluigi Buffon.

A counterattack 11 minutes later saw captain Lucio race forward unchallenged before sliding a pass to Ronaldinho. While a wayward pass came from the AC Milan playmaker Andrea Pirlo froze as Robinho raced in front of him to strip the ball. Robinho then dribbled past three Azzuri defenders shirts (with Pirlo in tow like a schoolboy) before unleashing a low shot past Buffon.
